Brazilian teals are a type of "dabbling duck" that feed primarily at the water's surface. Here they are eating some insects, one of their favorite snacks! Oftentimes ducks do not mate for life; instead, many of them are seasonally monogamous, meaning they may mate with one duck during breeding season, but will choose a different mate the following year."
