VILLAGERS celebrated the 60th anniversary of Thelwall Rose Queen with a Heroes & Villains theme.

VILLAGERS turned out in force to celebrate the ancient tradition of Bawming the Thorn at Appleton Thorn, Warrington.

A few light showers didn’t prevent Padgate & Woolston Walking Day from returning to its former glory, with all the local churches and schools taking part.

JUST four weeks into his new role Rev. Mark Orrell led Grappenhall Walking Day as hundreds of villagers turned out for the annual event.
