Mel Kiper Jr. officially lost it on ESPN when Shedeur Sanders was finally picked by the Browns. The biggest icon of NFL Draft coverage went on a tirade, slamming teams for being idiots when it came to evaluating quarterbacks — with Kiper being a big fan of Sanders out of Colorado.

NEW YORK — Shedeur Sanders was not the only prospect to receive a prank call during the NFL draft. Kyle McCord, the former Syracuse quarterback who was taken by the Eagles last weekend, told Philadelphia-area media that someone tried to prank him while the draft was ongoing.

There is still some speculation over what caused Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders' slide to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft, and some feel that he could've benefited from having an experienced NFL agent.
