Ben Calveley, the British and Irish Lions chief executive, is adamant that the touring side will be returning to Australia while adding that Andy Farrell is in a “very strong position” to retain his role as head coach.

Rugby Australia chief Phil Waugh was disappointed the Wallabies lost the test series against the British & Irish Lions but believes the tour was a huge success and talk that the tourists might not return in 2037 was well wide of the mark.

While the Wallabies suffered a narrow series loss to the British and Irish Lions, Rugby Australia are cheering the tour's success on and off the field.
