Right-handed starter Justin Verlander is in his first season with the San Francisco Giants after signing a one-year, $15 million contract in January. The 42-year-old debuted for the Detroit Tigers in 2005 and quickly established himself among the best pitchers of his generation.

The Giants have fallen out of the division race and the team is ready to sell at the trade deadline, offering up former MVP Justin Verlander.

Verlander has won two World Series rings to match the pair that current Blue Jay Max Scherzer has. Toronto could add even more experience to their pitching staff which could improve incredibly useful for postseason play.
