Voter turn-out in the 2024 election was the second highest in the past five presidential elections, according to a report issued to Congress by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission.

The House on Thursday passed the signature piece of legislation of President Trump's second term, approving his "big, beautiful bill" by a vote of 218 to 214.

The House passed President Donald Trump’s massive tax and immigration bill in a 218-214 vote Thursday, one day before the Republicans’ self-imposed July 4 deadline. Two Republicans — Reps. Thomas Massie (Kentucky) and Brian Fitzpatrick (Pennsylvania) — voted against the bill.
