Nathan Ginn, a 50-year-old outdoorsman who died in an avalanche over the weekend, was an active powsurfer, river surfer, skateboarder and elementary school art teacher.

Nathan Ginn was 50 years old, and died doing what he loved, his friends told local news.

Few details were immediately available but a sheriff's office spokesperson said the avalanche was triggered around 4:45 p.m. in the "Fingers Area" on Berthoud Pass near Winter Park.
