CINCINNATI — The Bengals have signed three veterans since training camp started in late July: tight end Noah Fant, guard Dalton Risner and defensive tackle Mike Pennel. Fant has quickly developed a rapport with Joe Burrow and will be part of the Bengals' offense.

It's nice that Cincinnati was able to reach an agreement with Trey Hendrickson, but beyond him, the pass rush is in flux, and outside of first-round pick Shemar Stewart, the Bengals didn't add anyone of significance to their defense over the last several months.

In recent seasons, the Cincinnati Bengals were among those considered to be contenders to win the AFC. That might not be the case entering the 2025 season.
