Amazon is offering OpenAI’s new open-weight AI models on Bedrock and SageMaker, bypassing Microsoft’s Azure exclusivity via the Apache 2.0 license.

Amazon.com Inc. plans to make OpenAI’s new open artificial intelligence models available to customers, the first time the cloud computing giant has offered products from the leading AI startup.

OpenAI said on Tuesday it has released two open-weight language models that excel in advanced reasoning and are optimized to run on laptops with performance levels similar to its smaller proprietary reasoning models.
