No Kings Day was biggest anti-Trump protests in Austin yet. Latino protesters are fighting to keep immigration front and center.

The arrest came after two Democratic lawmakers and their spouses were shot in Minnesota early Saturday, the same day anti-Trump "No Kings' protests were held nationwide.

Organizers say the protest will be a "noise demonstration" to demand an end to deportations and the closure of local ICE detention facilities.

The investigation continues after Texas DPS says a credible threat was made against Texas lawmakers ahead of the "No Kings" protest in Austin. A man has been arrested in connection to the incident. FOX 4 reporter Amelia Jones has more on that which happened on the same of a targeted attack against Minnesota state lawmakers.

AUSTIN, Texas — As the official "No Kings" protest at the Texas Capitol ended, police closed a number of streets in Downtown Austin as protesters began walking through downtown.

At least 1,500 "No Kings" protests nationwide were being held Saturday, the same day as President Donald Trump's large-scale military parade in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the U.S. Army and his 79th birthday.

Many residents without legal status are staying away from anti-ICE protests because they don't feel safe. More demonstrations are planned for the weekend.
