It has officially been over a year since the Dallas Cowboys selected Tyler Guyton in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but the ramifications from it are just now complete. Recall that the Cowboys originally held the 24th overall pick in last year’s first round but that they selected Guyton at 29 overall.

With the NFL Draft on Thursday, Cam Ward is expected to go No. 1 overall to Tennessee. But two quarterbacks, Shedeur Sanders (Colorado) and Jaxon Dart (Mississippi), might be available at No. 12. Jones put an end to possibly drafting a quarterback in the first round.

The Dallas Cowboys concluded the 2025 NFL Draft with six selections on Saturday, bringing their total to nine players chosen over the three-day event. Overall, the Cowboys selected five defensive players and four offensive players.
