A member of Michigan State Police's Auto Theft team was caught in an exchange of gunfire on Detroit's side that ended with a trooper wounded and a suspect fatally shot.

Morgan Hill police chased a man armed with a knife around a Safeway as he threw wine bottles before charging at an officer, who shot and wounded the suspect.
