Nottingham Forest are making their move in the transfer window, agreeing deals worth £37.5m for Ipswich Town winger Omari Hutchinson and nearly £30m for Manchester City's James McAtee. Midfielder McAtee has been a long-term target for Forest while a bid was rejected for Hutchinson earlier in the summer.

The deal comes after Forest’s initial £35m offer was turned down by Ipswich, despite the bid matching the value of Hutchinson’s recently expired relegation clause. Ipswich’s stance reflected their desire to retain one of their brightest talents, but Forest’s willingness to increase their offer appears to have broken the deadlock.

McAtee is now set to become Forest’s fourth summer buy after winger Dan Ndoye, striker Igor Jesus and defender Jair Cunha, while Nuno Espirito Santo is also closing in on Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich.
