Posts from multiple users on social media platforms X and TikTok on Sunday shared an image claiming to show the Israeli city of Haifa devastated by Iranian missile strikes. However, the viral image is an old photo of an Israeli strike in Lebanon from 2024.
Meanwhile, Iranian ballistic missile strikes have impacted across Israel, from the coastal city of Haifa and the small Arab-Israeli city of Tamra in the north, to the small village of Zavdiel in the south. Iranian ballistic missile attacks have damaged buildings in and around major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv.
Israeli authorities reported the evacuation of 60 residents in Haifa, 1,300 in Petah Tikva, and 300 in Tel Aviv due to damage to buildings.
