Following a recent ban, the Costa Mesa Police Department seized hundreds of large fruit-flavored nitrous oxide cylinders and thousands of small chargers from local smoke shops.

CMPD detectives on Jan. 24 seized nitrous-oxide-related products from two smoke shops where employees were allegedly improperly conducting sales. Meanwhile, O.C. supervisors are considering banning such merchandise.

Costa Mesa Police busted two smoke shops for allegedly selling thousands of nitrous oxide canisters. On Feb. 17, officers arrested a driver who drove into an active police scene, according to the department.
