Chase Elliott finished 15th in the Daytona 500 and was shuffled down the pack after deciding to try and work with Bubba Wallace in the final stage.

It’s finally Sunday, which means only one thing for many racing fans – it’s time for the 2025 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. Hendrick Motorsports will have a healthy representation in this year’s edition of "The Great American Race",

The No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports driver and NASCAR’s reigning Most Popular Driver will be starting the Daytona 500 from the 17th position in row nine. The 2025 Daytona 500 is set for Sunday, February 16 at 1:30 p.m. ET on Fox. The race was originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET but was moved up because of weather.

Like President Donald Trump, NASCAR driver Chase Elliott also attended the Super Bowl last weekend ahead of Sunday's Daytona 500.

The drivers used the event to see who had the car to beat in the 500. Elliott’s own father did that in 1987 when “Awesome Bill from Dawsonville” won the Clash, then won the 500 from the pole seven days later for his second victory in “The Great American Race.”

Atlanta Motor Speedway has become a "restricted speed" track which makes it prone to upset winners. Similar to the Daytona 500.
