Winnipeg Jets bank team-record 9th straight victory with 4-3 shootout win pass Blues
Jets win team-record 9th straight, beating Blues 4-3 on Connor’s shootout goal
Gabriel Vilardi tied it with 28 seconds left with goalie Eric Comrie off for an extra attacker, Kyle Connor scored in a shootout and the Winnipeg Jets beat the St. Louis Blues 4-3 on Saturday night for their team-record ninth straight victory.
The Blues are generating 2.70 goals per game, 27th in the NHL this season.
Once again, Eric Comrie delivered in a shootout win over the Blues on Saturday. Given what we’ve seen from the backup goalie, there’s no reason the Jets shouldn’t be comfortable giving him more time in net.
Comrie allowed three goals on 24 shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Blues. Comrie has been streaky in limited action this season, earning a pair of three-game winning streaks and eight losses in between them.
Eric Comrie once again found himself earning a win for the Winnipeg Jets, and his consistent performances should be something the franchise takes advantage of.
Kyle Connor ensured that the Blues would emerge with just one point on Saturday, scoring the game-deciding goal in the second round of the shootout.
