Boston Bruins trade Charlie Coyle to Avalanche
Charlie Coyle was traded to the Colorado Avalanche by the Boston Bruins on Friday for Casey Mittelstadt. The Bruins also acquired forward prospect William Zellers and a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Trade deadline acquisitions Erik Johnson and Charlie Coyle spoke to Colorado media members prior to tonight's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
“Going to the Bruins for Carlo is prospect Fraser Minten and the Leafs' 2026 first-round pick. The 20-year-old center was a second-round pick (38th overall) by the Leafs in the 2022 NHL draft. He’s projected to become a third-line center." Grade: A
Brad Marchand wasn't the only player traded by the Boston Bruins on deadline day, as defenseman Brandon Carlo was also dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
