Sunday will be another warm day, but we have a chance of storms that could be severe. As of today, there is Marginal Risk of severe weather for a big chunk of Siouxland. Main threats will be some hail and gusty winds.
A round of severe storms is expected to move through southern New England on Saturday, bringing threats of damaging wind gusts, flooding, hail, and even a tornado in Massachusetts. The highest risk for severe storms is across western Massachusetts, Worcester County, and the Merrimack Valley, according to the National Weather Service.
Heading into the weekend, a storm system will pass the area, bringing back storm chances starting Saturday night in western Kansas. Storms will gradually move east overnight and impact central Kansas later Sunday evening. A few storms could be strong, but widespread severe weather is unlikely. Localized heavy rainfall will be a concern.
