An American citizen was among at least 28 people killed in a deadly and huge Russian strike on Kyiv overnight Tuesday. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said an American was killed as more than 40 apartments were destroyed by the Russian attacks.

Emergency workers have pulled more bodies from the rubble of a nine-story Kyiv apartment building demolished by a Russian missile.

Russia sent 440 drones and fired 32 missiles during the overnight attack, partly flattening a residential building.
