KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Chants of ¡Viva México! echoed through the Power & Light District Sunday night as Mexico defeated the United States 2–1 in the Gold Cup Championship.

Mexico have now won the Gold Cup 10 times, compared to seven for the U.S. and one for Canada. Mexico's ten titles have come in 1993, 1996, 1998, 2003, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2019, 2023 and 2025.
