Right-handed starter Justin Verlander is in his first season with the San Francisco Giants after signing a one-year, $15 million contract in January. The 42-year-old debuted for the Detroit Tigers in 2005 and quickly established himself among the best pitchers of his generation.

Add Justin Verlander to the list of starting pitchers now available on the trade market. According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, "Verlander is on an expiring contract; out of respect to the future Hall of Famer, the Giants are open to working out a deal if it makes sense for Verlander and the organization."

The Giants have fallen out of the division race and the team is ready to sell at the trade deadline, offering up former MVP Justin Verlander.
