Tragedy struck this week when a plane crashed in the city of Ahmedabad just shortly after takeoff, leaving investigators and aviation officials with many questions.

Indian investigators have recovered the digital flight data recorder or the black box of the Air India flight that crashed a day earlier.

The Air India flight fell from the sky on Thursday and killed at least 270 people in Gujarat state, officials said Saturday.

The ill-fated AI-171, which crashed in Ahmedabad last week, killing 274 people, was retired after the incident and replaced with AI-159.

Investigators have now recovered the cockpit voice recorder from last week’s devastating Air India crash and will analyse the pilots’ final words to help determine what caused the disaster that killed more than 270 people.

Another day and another Air India flight has faced an issue. This time, it is AI180 from San Francisco to Mumbai that was delayed over a technical snag in engine!

Mohol said the panel, chaired by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, will examine all possible factors behind the disaster, including mechanical failure, human error, and compliance with safety regulations.
