Gilgo Beach serial killer reveals how he murdered 8 victims as he pleads guilty to grisly slayings
Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann admitted Wednesday that he strangled and dismembered eight sex workers then dumped their remains along desolate stretches of Long Island. The Manhattan architect and Massapequa Park schlub’s chilling guilty plea includes the slayings of seven women he had been charged with killing since 1993 — and an eighth victim newly linked to him.
Heuermann, who lived with his wife and two children in a small home in Massapequa Park, was arrested July 13, 2023 and charged with the deaths of Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman and Amber Lynn Costello. In 2024 he was charged with killing Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Jessica Taylor and Sandra Costilla, and later in the year, Mack.
