The recently wrapped Andor on Disney+ was the most adult Star Wars content we’ve ever seen in nearly fifty years. However, we wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s R-rated.

Despite Reynolds’ familiarity with R-rated projects, the Star Wars franchise has never developed a project in that specific rating. However, the Disney+ series Andor has depicted sensitive material.

After Andor, people want Star Wars to take more creative or thematic swings. And according to Ryan Reynolds, a real big swing for the series would be a foray into R-rated material.
