Russia launched a barrage of hundreds of drones and missiles on Kyiv overnight, killing more than 20 people in one of its biggest attacks on the Ukrainian capital.

The US Embassy in Ukraine has responded to the Russian strike on Kyiv that occurred on June 17 on its X account. The enemy attack claimed the lives of more than 20 people. American diplomats joined in the Day of Mourning for the victims of the Russian strike on Kyiv on June 17.

It was the deadliest attack on the Ukrainian capital in almost a year, and came as Moscow has intensified air assaults on the city.
