EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers eliminated the Los Angeles Kings with a 6-4 win in Game 6 of the Western Conference First Round at Rogers Place on Thursday. The Oilers, who won the final four games of the series, have eliminated the Kings in the first round in four consecutive seasons.

Trent Frederic had a goal and an assist and the defending Western Conference-champion Edmonton Oilers moved into the second round of the playoffs with a 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night.

The Kings suffered a 3-1 loss to playoff nemesis Edmonton at Crypto.com on Tuesday night, falling behind 3-2 in the series against the Oilers.
