Thousands of people will be hitting the streets of San Francisco for the annual Bay to Breakers race on Sunday. The first wave of runners leaves at 8 a.m., and the last wave will leave at 8:45 a.m. from Main and Howard streets.

Runners participating in this year's Bay to Breakers race were disappointed to find the annual spectacle ran out of medals.

The 2025 edition of the Bay to Breakers run in San Francisco, a staple of city since 1912, features thousands of costumed racers starting near the San Francisco Bay and finishing at the Pacific Ocean's "breakers" at Ocean Beach.
