Zelensky was expected to meet U.S. President Donald Trump at the summit. However, it is not clear if the meeting will take place because Trump left the summit early due to escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at the G7 in Canada on Tuesday seeking more backing for the war against Russia – hours after a night-time missile and drone bombardment killed at least 15 people in Kyiv and Odesa and injured 131 others while they slept in their homes.

The remaining G7 leaders are meeting in Canada after Trump cut short his visit due to events in the Middle East.
